Worship Service at Sterling's Lake Waushacum-Sholan ParkDate: Sunday, July 27, 2025 Time: 10:30 AM - Location: Sholan Park, Sterling ![]() “Come to the lakeshore” on Sunday, July 27th, 2025, as Oakdale United Methodist Church gathers at Lake Waushacum in Sterling for a lakeside service of worship beginning at 10:30 am EDT. Please bring your lawn chairs and singing voice as we come together in praise of the God of all creation. In addition, you may bring your brunch/lunch as we share a time of fellowship following worship. Grills are available so bring everything you will need (you will also need charcoal) if you wish to barbeque. Bring your canoes and kayaks to enjoy the lake!
If you are not a Sterling resident with a town beach sticker, we will will have special parking passes for your vehicle as you enter the parking lot.

Bring a friend (or three, this is going to be FUN!) Sholan Park at Lake Waushacum is 6.2 miles from the church. From the church, go left onto Beaman St., past the Old Stone Church, connecting to Route 12 North, follow to the center of Sterling. Go right on Maple St., right on Kendall Hill Rd., right on Swett Hill Rd. and right on Hall Ave. to Sholan Park. We look forward to seeing you there! |
